About

The 3rd Annual National South West Plastic Surgery Conference, "Bringing Plastic Surgery Insight to the South West", will take place on Saturday 21st March 2020 at the Research Innovation Learning and Development Building (RILD), Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust. It intends to provide delegates with an insight into the field of Plastic Surgery and its subspecialties.

The day will comprise of a series of keynote talks delivered by experts in the field, followed by workshops designed to inspire students and provide them with hands-on experience of surgical skills. Workshops will include suturing, wound debridement, tendon repair and excision of a lesion.

Aims and Objectives
  • To inspire a new generation of medical students and foundation-year doctors to embark upon a career in surgery.
  • To gain a deeper insight into the field of Plastic Surgery.
  • To overcome the barrier of access to Plastic Surgery opportunities in the South West and across the UK.

Abstract Submission

Abstract submissions for the poster presentation competition are welcome. Any quality improvement projects, research, case reports and literature reviews focusing on any field of surgery and dermatology are welcome. Please submit a well-written abstract of no more than 250 words to southwestpsc@gmail.com. Abstract submissions must be received no later than 2359 hours on 24th February 2020.
